So let's do the bog-standard favourite songs thread.
State a song that you like, and why.
My example:
Jane's Addiction - Just Because : because it reminds me of summer holidays when you didn't have coursework, or a new school to go to.
I suspect turnout for replies on my thread will be poor, but then I have to do something until my next lesson.

Hmm... I'll start with Comfortably Numb. Hundreds of reasons why it's a really good track, but, more recently I've been able to assosiate with it alot more than I did before, even if the reasons are the same as why I loved it in the first place.

Bright Eyes - Haligh, Haligh, Haligh.

It feels good in my head.

I do rather like that song, but you've reminded me of the one after it on the tracklisting.
At The Center Of The World - Bright Eyes, I rather love, mainly because of his wailing at the end smacks of loss. Yes, the song's about loss, and yet I like it.

I could run off a long list of Bright Eyes songs that could fit into the "don't really mind listening to" category, each with several reasons for their inclusion in said list.

Any song I write down is merely the song I deem the most worthy for mention at that specific time and is always subject to change as one "develops" the genres one consumes.

Ergo, I'm not wading into this one.

Lol.

I could list a list that we could take over a day to listen to, just from one group Cheesy

I've been listening to Ballroom Blitz alot lately, i came across it whilst downloading acdc to Donna's computer.

"...and the music was soothing" < sounds about right?

Heart Shaped Box, and I dedicate this to Eddy and his vomiting, because every time I hear the song, all I hear is the vomiting.
Good song though, is the main reason.

Also, Unfinished Symphony by Massive Attack, because it reminds me of April, of getting back off my ski holiday, and other personal mushy things I shan't go into here, but it always makes me feel funny inside to listen to that song, as I am now.

I  feel a bit sick right now, actually.
I'm tempted to say snoop doggy dogg, but the mental images are just to fuckin' scary.

Haha, I found the "musical" politics behind "Sexual/Sensual Eruption/Seduction" was funny.

Anyway, recently I've been listening to "Amused to Death" - Roger Waters.
